2025 Masters best bets: Here’s our experts picks for Augusta

MASTERS

Masters Tournament 2025

If the lack of upsets in March Madness was not your cup of tea, perhaps the unpredictability of the Masters Tournament will be more up your alley. Although last year’s favorite, Scottie Scheffler, wound up taking home the green jacket, the tournament is well-known for lesser-known golfers taking some of the spotlight. Just two years ago, we witnessed a relative unknown in Sam Bennett finish inside the top-20.

With those types of performances, you might think betting on the Masters is a fool’s errand, but the odds are always so tantalizing. So, with the famed tournament at Augusta National on the horizon, here are a few experts’ favorite picks. All odds via BetMGM.

Best bets for 2025 Masters:

Watch out for Sepp Straka (+6600)

Straka is in the middle of the best year of his career. Across ten events played this year, he’s already accrued seven top-25 finishes, three top-10’s, and a win at The American Express tournament in January. Furthermore, Straka finished tied for 16th at last year’s Masters, the best finish of his career. He could be in for an even better showing this time around.

Justin Thomas (+2200) also a name to watch

Thomas has finished tied for 12th or better in three of his last six starts at the Masters. He’s proven capable of winning big events with two major championships under his belt. And he is also coming off a great performance at the Valspar Championship in late March when he finished in second-place.

There won’t be a hole-in-one during the tournament (+140)

There have been 34 holes-in-one in Masters history. None have happened since 2021. Prior to that, the only hole that has seen an ace since 2013 is Hole 16. Although there have been seven holes-in-one there since 2013, it still hasn’t happened in three years. The fact that you can get positive odds on this prop is astounding.

Mark Giannotto, USA TODAY: Collin Morikawa (+1400) to win

Gianotto writes, “Morikawa currently ranks second behind only McIlroy in strokes gained tee-to-green in 2025. It’s perhaps gone under the radar because Morikawa is searching for his first win in more than 18 months and fell short again with a chance to win this year’s Arnold Palmer Invitational. But he has three top-10 finishes in five starts this season, in addition to winning the PGA Championship and British Open previously. Maybe he’s ready to prove his mettle at The Masters.”
