Final ticket sales pushed the jackpot beyond its earlier estimate of $515 million to $526.5 million at the time of the drawing.
The winning numbers in the Saturday, March 29 Powerball drawing were white balls 7, 11, 21, 53, 61 and red Powerball 2. The Power Play® multiplier was 3X.
This was the second Powerball jackpot won this year; the Powerball jackpot was previously won on Jan. 18, 2025, by an Oregon lottery player who claimed a $328.5 million prize.
The lucky ticket holder in California will have the choice between an annuitized prize of $526.5 million or a lump sum payment of $243.8 million. Both prize options are before taxes. If the winner selects the annuity option, they will receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5-percent each year.
Nationwide, more than 928-thousand tickets won cash prizes in last night’s Powerball drawing, including five tickets that matched all white balls to win $1 million prizes. The $1 million-winning tickets were sold in Georgia (2), Ohio, Oregon and Texas.
For the next drawing on Monday night, the Powerball jackpot resets to $20 million. The jackpot has a cash value $9.3 million.
Powerball® tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
