SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Ten-time NBA All-Star and 2003 NCAA Champion Carmelo Anthony visited Syracuse on Monday, April 14, to promote his cannabis brand, STAYME70.
Anthony was in downtown Syracuse at the FlynnStoned Cannabis Company at 219 Walton St. from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
STAYME70 — also pronounced “Stay Melo” — is a premium line of flowers and vaporizers. It’s the first brand launch under the umbrella of Grand National, a cannabis-focused agency.
Anthony is one of the most famous one-and-done players in college basketball history. He led Syracuse to its only national championship in 2003. He went on to play for the Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Lakers.
Anthony will be back in Syracuse on Sunday, May 11, to deliver the commencement address for the Syracuse University class of 2025.
His son, Kiyan Anthony, will also be joining the Orange men’s basketball team as part of the 2025 recruiting class.
