NOW, JAMAAR CHASE WILL BE IN CINCINNATI THROUGH THE NEXT FIVE YEARS. THE ONE YEAR STILL ON HIS OLD DEAL HERE. THIS IS A LOOK AT THE OTHER HIGHEST PAID RECEIVERS AROUND THE LEAGUE. HE TOPS HIS OLD PAL FROM LSU, MR. JUSTIN JEFFERSON. HE WANTED TO DO THAT LAST YEAR, EVEN IF IT WAS BY ONE PENNY. AND HE WILL DO SO. JA’MARR CHASE, NOW BECOMING THE HIGHEST PAID NON-QB IN NFL HISTORY. HIS DEAL WILL SURPASS MILES GARRETT, OF COURSE, WHO WAS SIGNED JUST LAST WEEK AND SHOCKED EVERYONE AROUND THE NFL. OF COURSE, THE BENGALS DIDN’T SAVE ANY MONEY BY DOING IT HERE TONIGHT, BUT ALL THAT MATTERS RIGHT HERE IS THAT THE DEAL IS OFFICIALLY DONE AND NOT JUST ONE OR THE OTHER, BUT BOTH JAMAAR CHASE TEE HIGGINS ARE NOW UNDER CONTRACT FOR THE NEXT 4 TO 5 YEARS HERE IN CINCINNATI, AND NEVER THOUGHT WE’D SEE THIS DAY, ESPECIALLY HOW EVERYTHING WAS SHAKING OUT AT THE END OF THE SEASON. THAT WAS UNTIL JOE BURROW MADE A HUGE STATEMENT AFTER MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL IN DALLAS THAT HE THOUGHT TEE HIGGINS BELONGED ON THIS ROSTER AND IN THIS OFFENSE WAS A KEY PIECE. HE CALLED HIM A NEED. AND HERE WE ARE TONIGHT, LOOKING AT TWO OF THE HIGHEST PAID RECEIVERS IN THE LEAGUE. AND THEY BOTH ARE GOING TO BE RIGHT HERE IN CINCINNATI. WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN WITH THE SALARY CAP, WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN WITH THE DEFENSE? WE’VE HAD COACHING CHANGES, WE’VE HAD PLAYERS MOVING AND GOING. SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR THE FUTURE? THIS OPENS UP QUITE A BIT OF SALARY CAP SPACE HERE FOR THE BENGALS, AT LEAST FOR THIS YEAR. THAT MEANS THEY CAN DISH OUT A LITTLE MONEY HERE TO TREY HENDRICKSON IF THEY WANT TO, BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THAT THE EDGE RUSHER MARKET IS DWINDLING HERE, SO HOPEFULLY THEY CAN BRING BACK NFL SACK LEADER TREY HENDRICKSON AS WELL. THAT WILL BE THE NEXT DEAL WE’RE WATCHING. BUT RIGHT NOW TEE HIGGINS JAMAAR CHASE HANDSHAKE EMOJI. THEY HAVE THE SAME AGENT THEY TEAM

CINCINNATI —Ja’Marr Chase is reportedly staying in Cincinnati until further notice, joining forces with Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins for one of—if not the—best passing attacks in the NFL.

Late Sunday night, news broke that Chase and Higgins had reportedly agreed to four-year extensions, keeping both in the Jungle through the 2029 campaigns.

For Chase, it’s the culmination of one of the best four-year stretches for a wide receiver to start his career in NFL history. He’s twice set the Bengals’ franchise mark for receiving yards in a season, is coming off just the fifth receiving triple crown since 1970 and has the third-most receiving yards and the most touchdowns since being drafted ahead of the 2021 season.

As Chase is reportedly set to continue posting numbers for the Bengals, here’s a look back at some of his best games and moments so far.

Oct. 8, 2023: Bengals @ Cardinals

In a game the Bengals desperately needed as they attempted to right a slow start to an ultimately disappointing 2023 campaign, Ja’Marr Chase posted his best statistical game to this point in his career.

He broke Cincinnati’s franchise record for most receptions in a single game, totaling 15 catches on on 19 targets (both numbers that remain career highs) for 192 yards and three touchdowns.

The performance came a week after one of his most viral moments, when he told reporters after a loss to the Tennessee Titans that he’s “always f****** open.”

For his efforts, Jeff Ruby offered Chase a steak dinner to help celebrate his record-breaking performance, saying “WE’RE OPEN TOO!”

Jan. 2, 2022: Bengals vs. Chiefs

The matchup wasn’t quiet yet the rivalry it is known as today, but that didn’t mean the penultimate game of the 2021 season between Cincinnati and Kansas City was any less exciting.

With their 34-31 win, the Bengals captured their first division title in six seasons. In the process, Cincinnati relied heavily on their then-rookie wideout.

In the biggest pressure game of his young-career, Chase carried the load for the Cincinnati offense. He accounted for nearly 60% of the Bengals’ passing offense that day, hauling in 11 of Joe Burrow’s 30 completions and 266 of Burrow’s 446 passing yards.

That mark is still Chase’s career best, with only one other performance—this year’s Week 10 loss in Baltimore—coming close (264).

The LSU product also accounted for three touchdowns, his first three-TD effort of his career.

Three weeks later, the two teams met again, with the Bengals outdueling the Chiefs in Kansas City to clinch a spot in the Super Bowl.

Nov. 7, 2024: Bengals @ Ravens

Despite the losing effort, Chase has rarely put the Bengals on his back the way he did in Week 10 this past year against the Baltimore Ravens.

Chase scored each of the final three touchdowns of the game for the Bengals, keeping Cincinnati within arms-reach of their division rival.

Of Chase’s three touchdown pass, two came on just one-play drives, with scores going for 67 and 70 yards on connections from his old college teammate, Joe Burrow.
