Famous rapper, 26, hospitalized for facial paralysis: ‘I can’t even laugh right’

Lil Nas X revealed on Instagram that he was hospitalized after half of his face became paralyzed.

On Monday, the rapper, who celebrated his 26th birthday last week, shared a video to the platform from his hospital bed with the caption: “Soooo lost control of the right side of my face.”

In the clip, the “Montero” performer cracked a lopsided smile for fans.

“This is me doing a full smile right now by the way,” he explained. “It’s like what the f—. Bro, I can’t even laugh right, bro. What the f—. Ah! Oh my God.”

Lil Nas X then tried to reposition his jaw with his hand, but his face stayed put.

In the comment section, fans and fellow celebrities sent him well wishes. “Wishing you a speedy recovery,” wrote actress Niecy Nash, adding “(this happened to my mom. Hot compress several times a day helps wonders).” Meanwhile, country singer Maren Morris commented: “omg get better soon!”

Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Lil Nas X still appeared to be in good spirits and didn’t want fans to worry. On his Instagram Story, he shared a text post that read: ”Guys I am OK!! Stop being sad for me! Shake your a– for me instead!” He followed up with a selfie with the text: “Imma look funny for a bit but that’s it.”

By Tuesday morning, the rapper already appeared to be out of the hospital. In a video filmed from his home, he explained that the left side of his face was fine, but the right side is still giving him trouble. “Right eye is stubborn. Imma be good. Smile getting a little better,” he wrote.

Lil Nas X has yet to share any details leading up to his hospitalization or regarding his diagnosis. Within the last month, the Grammy-award winning rapper, best known for his hit songs “Old Town Road” feat. Billy Ray Cyrus and “Industry Baby” feat. Jack Harlow, has been busy promoting his upcoming album “Dreamboy.” Including the title track, he’s dropped four singles so far, but has yet to set an album release date.
