RALEIGH, N.C. — Will Wade has agreed to a contract to become the next head coach of NC State men’s basketball, according to multiple Pack Pride sources. The current McNeese head coach will finish out the remainder of the season at McNeese before joining the Wolfpack ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Wade will replace former head coach Kevin Keatts, who was fired 10 days ago following the 2024-25 campaign. NC State Athletics Director Boo Corrigan landed one of the Pack’s top options with the agreement with Wade this offseason.

“We addressed it head on. I talked to them Saturday about it,” Wade said when asked if he’s talked to his McNeese players about the NC State job. “Here’s what it is, here is where we are. It was just me and our players and we all talked about it. I’m aware of what I have got going on. They’re aware of what we’ve got going on. You just hit it head-on. We’re all on the same page with everything.”
Pack Pride will have more on the deal reached with Wade throughout the day.
