Doubleheaders are long and grueling, but it’s one of the best feelings as a fan to watch your team grab two wins in one day. It feels like a heist of sorts! But that’s what the Yankees pulled off yesterday in the Bronx, beating the Blue Jays 11-2 and 5-1. Two words to that: hell yeah.
Today on the site, Nick Sarnelli will preview this three-game set in Baltimore, which will hopefully yield similar results (ninth-inning disasters aside). Later, Jake will run through the latest edition of the Rivalry Roundup, and John will look back at the first good start of David Cone’s oft-beleaguered 2000 season (25 years ago today). A little while before first pitch, Madison will issue this week’s mailbag prompt.
