LA QUINTA, Calif. (WKRC) – Former NFL agent Jeff Sperbeck passed away following a crash in a golf cart that was driven by Hall-of-Fame quarterback John Elway.

According to TMZ, the crash occurred on Saturday evening and left Sperbeck with traumatic injuries to the back of his head. The outlet reported he was unconscious but breathing when first responders arrived. He was brought to the hospital and placed on life support, but NBC Sports reported that he passed sometime on Wednesday morning.

Elway was reportedly the one to call 911 after the crash.

Authorities reportedly said they were investigating the incident for “purely informational” purposes, per TMZ.
