Kieran Culkin joins ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ cast as Caesar Flickerman

Kieran Culkin is the latest star to join the cast of “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.”

The Academy Award winner will portray Caesar Flickerman in the highly anticipated film, Lionsgate announced on social media Thursday.

Stanley Tucci portrayed the character in the previous “Hunger Games” films, from 2012 to 2015.

In the films, Caesar is the host of the Hunger Games and interviews the tributes the night before the competition begins.

The cast for the upcoming “Sunrise on the Reaping” film is already a star-studded one. Previously announced cast members include Whitney Peak, McKenna Grace, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor, Ben Wang and Ralph Fiennes, who will portray the villainous President Snow.

Lionsgate also recently announced that Molly McCann and Iona Bell will portray the characters Louella and Lou Lou in the upcoming film. They join a cast led by relative newcomer Joseph Zada, who plays Haymitch.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Elle Fanning will play Effie Trinket. The character was previously portrayed by Elizabeth Banks in the first three “Hunger Games” films.

“The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” arrives in theaters Nov. 20, 2026.
