Actress Cindyana Santangelo, who was once dubbed “the Latin Marilyn Monroe”, has passed away aged 58.
First responders rushed to her home in Malibu, California, on Monday (March 25) following reports of a medical emergency.
The actress was rushed to hospital but was tragically pronounced dead. This marked another tragic death in the acting world today.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide investigators are currently looking into the cause of her death.

The department shared a statement which read: “On Monday, March 24th, at approximately 7:15 PM, Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a medical emergency call on Westlake Boulevard, in Malibu.
“Paramedics transported a female adult to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
“The cause of death is undetermined, and an autopsy is pending.
“This investigation is ongoing, and there is no additional information available at this time.”
The police are investigating her death
While the police do not have any evidence of foul play, officers wait until her autopsy is completed before announcing any conclusions.
The actress had appeared in episodes of popular shows such as ER and CSI: Miami during her acting career.
Iconic singer Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction once dubbed the late actress the “Latin Marilyn Monroe”.
It was suggested because of her old-fashioned, movie-star image after she appeared in a video for the group’s song Stop.
She will be sorely missed
Tributes for the TV star have poured in online following the news of her death.
One fan said: “Sad news in Hollywood: Actress Cindyana Santangelo has passed away at the age of 58.
“Her contributions to film and television will be deeply missed.”
Another added: “Cindyana Santangelo dead at 58. Rest in peace.”
