César Azpilicueta has finally opened his LaLiga account and in some style.

The Atlético de Madrid full-back picked a perfect moment to break the deadlock in Saturday’s encounter at Espanyol with a sublime first-time volley from distance.

Azpilicueta also etched his name into the history books as the Colchoneros’ oldest-ever player to score in LaLiga while also being the second most senior overall.

A definite contender for this year’s Puskás Award!
