Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is one of the greatest players in NBA history. A four-time NBA champion and the league’s all-time leader in 3-pointers, the 6-foot-2 guard has revolutionized the game of basketball.
Still playing at a high level in his 16th NBA season, Curry entered Tuesday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies averaging 24.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 62 appearances for Golden State. Turning in a very strong first quarter against Memphis, Curry finished the frame with 19 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals while making five of his six attempts from 3-point range.

Not only was this an impressive opening period for the 37-year-old Curry, but it also made NBA history as the only quarter of its kind for somebody his age.
“Steph Curry is the oldest player in NBA history to have a quarter with 15 PTS, 5 REB, & 5 3PM,” StatMamba on X posted.
Still able to meet the moment, Curry led Golden State to an early lead over Memphis in what is a crucial Western Conference game. Just a half-game separated these two teams in the standings entering Tuesday, with the Grizzlies holding a narrow lead over the Warriors for the fifth seed in the Western Conference.
A lot can change between now and the end of the regular season, but both Memphis and Golden State project to be in the postseason picture. The question will be where they end up, and Tuesday’s game could have a big impact on that.
