COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio State concluded four weeks of practices with its annual spring game as three different quarterbacks made their case to be the next starter.

Saturday’s intrasquad scrimmage at Ohio Stadium saw offense (scarlet) take on defense (gray), with Scarlet winning 50-31. Coach Ryan Day will address the media after the game. You can watch his press conference live in the player above.

Third-year veteran Lincoln Keinholz took the opening snap at quarterback but Julian Sayin had the biggest performance of the day. In the first half, the rising sophomore completed 14-of-20 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown. By comparison, Keinholz went eight-for-13 for 70 yards. Rookie QB Tavien St. Clair went one-for-seven and threw an interception.

Sayin’s lone passing score was to Purdue transfer tight end Max Klare in the first quarter. But he also led the offense on two other scoring drives in the opening half, with West Virginia transfer running back CJ Donaldson and freshman Bo Jackson also finding the endzone.

The exhibition capped off 15 practices for the defending national champions, who will begin the 2025 season at home against Texas on Aug. 30.
