LAS VEGAS — Before the wrestling world turns its focus to WrestleMania 41, the young stars will get their spotlight to shine with NXT Stand and Deliver.
The developmental brand of WWE has been on fire recently with some talented additions making it a star-studded affair in its own right. It’s not taking place in Allegiant Stadium with high-profile names, but NXT is sure to put up an incredible show to get fans fully ready for WrestleMania weekend. Seven matches make up the card, headlined by the triple threat match for the NXT Championship.
USA TODAY Sports will provide all of the results and highlights from NXT Stand and Deliver.
NXT Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Trick Williams vs. Je’Von Evans
Match in progress.
Fatal four-way for NXT Women’s Championship: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Giulia vs. Jordynne Grace vs. Jaida Parker
The major story in the title match was Vaquer and Giulia, but Grace and Parker were determined to not let either shine. In the early stages, all four women got the chance to display their skills against each other, and Parker stood out. Grace picked up Vaquer and Giulia as Parker launched herself from the top rope to take down everyone.
It took time, but Guilia and Vaquer faced off alone in the ring and it went back-and-forth between the international stars. Parker and Grace got back into the fold, with Parker getting some clean shots in. Vaquer got herself back in control and did her infamous move batting the each stars’ head off the mat.
The tempo started to really pick up as each star tried to get the closing shot in, but Vaquer reigned supreme. She broke off a pin attempt from Parker and then put her away in signature fashion. Vaquer pinned Parker to retain the title.
It’s been a perfect start for Vaquer in NXT as she continues to conquer anything thrown her way, and doing it in impressive fashion in the process. It was hard seeing any of the challengers putting up a worthy attempt at the title, and Parker was the most impressive of the bunch. But Vaquer’s ceiling is so high, and she’ll likely reign over the women’s division for plenty of time.
The D’Angelo Family vs. DarkState
With all of the animosity toward each other, the D’Angelo Family charged their opponents outside of the ring to get the action started. D’Angelo found himself surrounded by DarkState, but he fended them off as the match officially got under way.
DarkState is a relentless group, and they used plenty of combinations to tee off on Luca Crusifino. The same eventually happened to Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo. Tony D’Angelo got in the match to stop the attack, but he soon fell victim to the same fate.
All of the stars met in the ring and battled it out, and the D’Angelo Family got the upper hand. Lorenzo offered a crow bar to D’Angelo to use, but he refused to use it, further the divide they have with each other. When the referee didn’t look, Stacks used it anyways, frustrating D’Angelo. They talked and hugged it out, but then the shocking moment happened. Lorenzo delivered a low blow to D’Angelo, setting DarkState up to get the win.
It had been building for weeks, but the D’Angelo Family is now split after Lorenzo betrayed the stable’s head man. DarkState needed a win to maintain the ruthless run it has been on, and it did so in the best way with creating a new storyline within the D’Angelo Family. DarkState will go on to create terror in NXT, while we now get a feud between Lorenzo and D’Angelo.
Ladder match for the NXT Women’s North American Championship
The action started right off the bell, and Sol Ruca was the first to bring the ladder into the ring. Zaria used it to her advantage to take out the competitors, but Izzi Dame stopped the attack with a hard hitting drop on the ladder. Kelani Jordan was the one standing out early with plenty of offense on anyone that got near her. She attempted to climb up to grab the title but Lola Vice stopped the try.
Thea Hail had the next best attempt and fended off Dame from it, but as she tried to grab the title, Zaria lifted the ladder to launch her out of the ring and onto Dame’s group in an awesome spot.
Vice took some tough shots on the ladder from Zaria and Jordan, and once Zaria took Jordan out, it was the friends in Zaria and Ruca at the top of the ladder. They embraced before trading shots at each other, and Ruca knocked down Zaria. Ruca then went with a flurry of Sol Snatchers to take out the rest of the field and climbed her way to the top to claim the title.
It’s hard to deny the skill Ruca has as she continues to climb her way toward the top of the women’s division in NXT. She already won the Women’s Speed Championship earlier this week and but gets her biggest prize yet in the Women’s NXT North American Championship. She without a doubt was the MVP of the match and proved she deserved the title. It’s already been a great start to 2025 for Ruca, and she’s putting herself on a fast track toward the main roster.
NXT Tag Team Championship match: Nathan Frazer and Axiom (c) vs. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger
It was a true contrast in styles for the tag team titles, with the skills and finesse of Fraxiom trying to run around Hank and Tank. The athleticism was on full display from the champions, but the power of the challengers allowed themselves to stay in the match.
Ledger took the spotlight as he showed how smooth he can move in the ring, showing off some aerial moves. Axiom then went to do his own stunning display and it looked like the titles would stay with Fraxiom after a beautiful sequence from the champions, but a pin wasn’t successful. The challengers then had their window to steal the titles, but Frazer didn’t go down easy.
Walker tried a dive through the ropes but Fraxiom dodged it and he went straight to the announcer’s table in a stunning moment. With a 2-on-1 advantage, Fraxiom went to work and a win seemed inevitable. But somehow, Walker got up in just enough time to break the pin.
With just enough power left, Hank and Tank got the upper hand. They took Axiom out and feeling the win, they ripped off their shirts and used their signature “Honk Honk” sequence. They went for the pin and pulled off the upset.
If Hank and Tank weren’t over with the crowd, they are now after that spectacular match. Everyone got a chance to shine and there were plenty of major spots that wowed the audience. The result is a stunning one after the magnificent reign of Fraxiom, but it’s a deserving win for Hank and Tank as they proved to be worthy of taking the titles.
NXT North American Championship match: Ricky Saints (c) vs. Ethan Page
Two stars very familiar with each other, Saints started out strong with his charismatic self on full display. Page put a halt to the momentum when he dropped him off the side of the mat. With a big shot to Saints’ back, Page continued to target the area and go for the pin.
Saints looked like he was getting back in rhythm, but he failed on a launch outside of the ring and hit the announcer’s table hard in a brutal spot.
Saints fought back and chants of “Tony fumbled” echoed T-Mobile Arena, in reference to All Elite Wrestling’s Tony Khan. Page took Saints to the top turnbuckle but the champion pulled off a powerbomb. Page recovered quickly by dropping Saints and looked to be closing in on victory. However, the pin wasn’t successful. Saints got up and countered Page’s attempt to close it out. He hit his finished and secured the pin to retain the title.
Saints continues to stay hot in the early stages of his WWE career. He has shown his superstar potential and he put on a great opening match with Page. The momentum should stay hot, while Page will try to regroup as the former NXT Champion seeks more gold.
Fatal four-way tag team elimination match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship No. 1 contenders
Meta Four had the early momentum as Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson were rolling off the jump. It didn’t take long for chaos to ensue with all of the teams trading blows at the same time. Then the high-flying started with Fallon Henley, Gigi Dolin and Jackson taking to the sky to take down all the competitors.
Despite the hot start, Meta Four was the first to be eliminated after Roxanne Perez hit a Pop Rox on Jackson. Not long after, Perez and Cora Jade were eliminated by Dolin and Tatum Paxley.
Dolin and Paxley and Fatal Influence were the last two teams. Jacy Jane and Henley were in control as Dolin and Paxley were trying to starve off elimination. Fatal Influence tried some trickery on the referee, but it didn’t work and backfired. Paxley recovered and got the win for the win.
It’s a major victory for a group that was looking for a breakthrough in the tag team division. Now Dolin and Paxley await WrestleMania to see who they will challenge for the tag team titles.
