Extended highlights: Everton 0-2 City

Nico O’Reilly and Mateo Kovacic scored the late goals that ensured a final victory at Goodison Park with the Toffees moving to Everton Stadium next season.

It looked to be heading for a point apiece but O’Reilly and Kovacic won it late on for Pep Guardiola’s Blues.

O’Reilly bagged his second successive Premier League goal after meeting a perfect Matheus Nunes cross from the right.

MATCH REPORT: EVERTON 0-2 CITY

Kovacic, on as a late substitute, put the game beyond the Toffees with a superb strike in stoppage time after being set up Player of the Match Ilkay Gundogan.

City are now fourth in the Premier League table with five top-flight games remaining – three at home against Aston Villa, Wolves and Bournemouth and two away at Southampton and Fulham.

If the current champions finish in the top five that would guarantee UCL football next season.

This result certainly was another step in the right direction.
