Let’s get to it.

WrestleMania 41 predictions

WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. John Cena

Geno Mrosko: I don’t know. I really don’t. There are good arguments to be made on both sides here. Personally, Cena breaking the record as a heel and going on a run as champion this year sounds like a ton of fun but we’re also a long way from being able to capitalize on the LOLCENAWINS memes of days gone by. It may be too late for all that. I’m going to guess it is, and the hot hand — who, to his credit, has managed to stay hot through it all — keeps the strap. Pick: Cody Rhodes

Sean Rueter: Just hoping there’s an actual story to heel Cena’s 17th World title run, because I didn’t get a whole lot of that from heel Cena’s pursuit of his 17th World title run (I tried looking at it with 13 year old Sean’s eyes, but those things don’t work on command any more). Anyway… Pick: John Cena

Kyle Decker: John’s usually busy Hollywood schedule and the desire to get Cody a big win has me doubting some, but I still have to go Cena here. It’s way more interesting and will do more to keep Cody hot than a Rhodes win would do. Plus, Travis Scott is in John’s corner. the American Nightmare won’t have an answer for that. Pick: John Cena

Claire Elizabeth: Now this, THIS is the battle for pro wrestling’s soul. If Cena wins and leaves with the title, sure it’s not the first time it’s ever been vacant, but it means something for everybody’s hero to turn this evil and walk away. I’ve spun up my own fantasy booking about Cena winning and CM Punk stepping up to do a Reverse Summer of Punk and up until the time I wrote this I was all set to come in here and lay it out and have that be my pick, but that’s too much. Too anxious. Too much head, not enough heart. This year has been tough on a lot of levels. I need to believe that there’s light in the world, that a good thing can happen in America in 2025. I need to believe that Cody Rhodes can get the job done. Pick: “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes

Cain A. Knight: I don’t think WWE waited 20 years to turn John Cena heel just for him to lose his his first match in that role. The final PLE matches of Cena’s career will be a lot more interesting if he is defending the gold, and not walking out of WrestleMania as a loser. Cody can always beat him later in the year to win the belt back. Pick: John Cena

Marcus Benjamin: For this whole thing to work, for this heel turn to truly be a thing that’s more than a flash in the pan memory, or worse, just something WWE can say they did, John Cena has to win. Cody can take the loss and get some luster back in the chase. Pick: John Cena

M. G0MEZ: Based on their final words on SmackDown, Cody Rhodes is a “weak, scared, and insecure kid living in a man’s world.” Meanwhile, John Cena is “overrated, has a melting face, a stack of dimes for a neck, and spindly-ass legs.” Boy, that’s some story. At this point, the outcome matters more than the match. Looking ahead, there’s big money in Cena facing old foes like CM Punk, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles with the heel-face roles reversed. Judging by how many shows Cena’s booked for post-‘Mania, the writing’s on the wall. Pick: John Cena

Women’s World Championship: Iyo Sky (c) vs. Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley

Geno Mrosko: All the focus of this has been on Belair and Ripley and the issues between the two of them, with Sky in the background as a supporting character even though she’s the champion. I guess, then, she’ll take advantage and walk out with the belt too, giving Belair her first WrestleMania loss and continuing her run of dominance over Ripley. Pick: Iyo Sky

Sean Rueter: Hopefully my IYO SKY-picking compatriots are right. That’s who I’m pulling for, for the reasons they all mentioned. But I have a feeling WWE’s biggest stars are going to win on its biggest stage, and as the oft-discussed build for this one proved, the Genius of the Sky is not who the powers-that-be view as the biggest star in this match. The other two reside in the same level of the stratosphere, so I’m going with the one who did the most media last week. Pick: Rhea Ripley

Kyle Decker: Iyo just won the title, and she’s over with the crowd. I think they stay pat with her for a bit. Bianca has a story ready with Jade/Naomi to return to that a win doesn’t make sense. Hot shotting from Rhea to Sky to Rhea seems cheap. They could get more out of this story if Iyo holds the gold for a bit longer. Pick: Iyo Sky

Claire Elizabeth: Honestly I’m going to be furious if anybody but IYO wins. She’s been cast aside and treated like an afterthought this entire time, and if she doesn’t give Rhea and Bianca both their comeuppances and retain the title… that just sucks, y’all. Pick: IYO SKY

Cain A. Knight: Belair used to dominate the women’s division as a babyface like she was prime John Cena, but she hasn’t held singles gold in almost two years. I think it’s time for that to change at WrestleMania. Pick: Bianca Belair

Marcus Benjamin: I’m going with IYO for the simple fact that she’s the afterthought. Rhea and Bianca are so focused on each other that the champ comes into this the underdog and the sleeper. Imagine that. Pick: IYO SKY

M. G0MEZ: The treatment of Iyo Sky in the lead-up makes her the sentimental favorite. That said, Bianca Belair got the short end of the stick after Rhea Ripley whined her way into this match. To paraphrase Bray Wyatt, “Anyone but you, Rhea.” Tough call, but with Bianca’s character at a crossroads, I’m going with the champ. Pick: Iyo Sky

Intercontinental Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Penta vs. Finn Bálor vs. Dominik Mysterio

Geno Mrosko: The odds have been saying Dirty Dom gets a big win here and I’m just fine with that. Everything he touches turns to gold, and there are fun programs to be had with every guy in this match. Do it already. Pick: Dominik Mysterio

Sean Rueter: See Joe Dom, Finn, and Penta, the numbers don’t lie, and they spell disaster for y’all at Sacrifice the Showcase of the Immortals. Pick: Bron Breakker

Kyle Decker: Dom is going to win this, and it’s gonna be a moment that blows the roof off Allegiant. This will lead to Finn turning on Dom (and likely eventually winning the title) and giving Dom a babyface run that I actually think will be quite successful. Pick: Dominik Mysterio

Claire Elizabeth: Four-ways favor the champion, and that’s where I always start, but then you gotta consider Judgment Day having two guys here, and that changes the odds. But then you gotta consider that Penta has Cero Miedo, and that’s all it takes for me. Pick: Penta

Cain A. Knight: I don’t really get what all the hoopla is about Dom possibly winning this championship. I expect Bron to spear the shit out of him and retain the gold. Pick: Bron Breakker

Marcus Benjamin: So with Jey winning the big gold belt, he’ll need new challengers. Who better than a pissed off Bron Breakker? Meanwhile, Dom takes the belt for his first singles gold that only further exacerbates the fissures in Judgemnt Day. Pick: Dirty Dom

M. G0MEZ: Dominik Mysterio winning doesn’t do as much for his Judgment Day story with Finn Bálor as he or Finn losing does. As for Penta, it’s too early to put gold on him. Whether by process of elimination or Steiner Math, the answer is still the same. Pick: Bron Breakker

Women’s Tag Team Championship: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria & Bayley TBA

Geno Mrosko: I can never guess what they’re going to do with the women’s tag team titles. Pick: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez

Sean Rueter: Probably not gonna remember who the champs are by next week anyway. Heck, I had to double-check who was in this match halfway through typing this prediction. I don’t think the Bayley write-off means they’re suddenly taking the Women’s Tag titles seriously, but I’m not picking against a returning Becky Lynch (or anyone they’d use in the MYSTERY PARTNER spot). Pick: Lyra Valkyria & Friend

Kyle Decker: There’s zero reason to do a change here. I think they go back to Bayley vs. Lyra after this, with Bayley playing a heel again. Pick: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez

Claire Elizabeth: I’m glad Bayley is getting a WrestleMania payday. Pick: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez

Cain A. Knight: The makeshift babyface team really has no business winning tag team gold. Pick: Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan

Marcus Benjamin: This match is here just to get the titles that don’t mean much on a card that means everything. Pick: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez

M. G0MEZ: Man….if what I’m hearing is real….Poor Liv & Raquel. Pick: Lyra Valkyria & TBA

Sin City Street Fight: Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre

Geno Mrosko: I hate how little I care about this because McIntyre has become a personal favorite over the past couple years. The guy does nothing but hit home runs, no matter what they give him. It doesn’t feel like he’s been set up for success here but I have faith. Pick: Drew McIntyre

Sean Rueter: Just hoping that rumor about Slayer playing him to the ring is right, because (a) that would be sick, and (b) Priest could count that as his win for the night, cause he ain’t getting one on Big D. Pick: Drew McIntyre

Kyle Decker: This story has picked up and has piqued my interest more than I thought it would when it was announced. But it’s still clear Drew is a tier above Priest. The Scot will likely be back in the title picture this year, and I can’t say that with confidence regarding Priest. Drew makes more sense here. Pick: Drew McIntyre

Claire Elizabeth: Both of these guys are fired up and ready to get violent and in 2025’s relatively blood-friendly WWE I am excited to watch the match, even if I don’t really much care who wins. That being said, I do think Drew has the fire in his belly over feeling screwed over time and again and that’s gonna make the difference here. Pick: Drew McIntyre

Cain A. Knight: This match is going to rule, and Drew really does need to beat the guy that screwed him over multiple times over the last year. Pick: Drew McIntyre

Marcus Benjamin: Drew has to get this win. I mean he has to. Pick: Drew McIntyre

M. G0MEZ: Paul Heyman isn’t the only one with a favor to repay at WrestleMania. In pro wrestling, “doing a favor” means elevating another wrestler, usually by losing. Drew McIntyre did that for Damian Priest last year at WrestleMania. Now, it’s time for Priest to pay the tab. Pick: Drew McIntyre

AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul

Geno Mrosko: These two might mess around and steal the show. Paul is always good for a fun surprise or two, and I wouldn’t be shocked if Styles losing here is part of a bigger story for him. Pick: Logan Paul

Sean Rueter: We’ll get a viral moment, I’m sure. Pick: Logan Paul

Kyle Decker: When working on the WrestleMania stock report, I was surprised to see that Logan Paul did not have a win on a PLE for a year. I expect that to change tonight. Styles is still one of the best so this is a sleeper match. Pick: Logan Paul

Claire Elizabeth: Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh okay almost everybody in wrestling is terrible, Logan is not especially special, definitely not after this last week or so of press but I just cannot pick him. My fingers won’t make the letters. I’m gonna have to call my wife over and ask her to type the finish to the match for me if AJ doesn’t get it done, it’ll be a whole thing. Pick: AJ Styles

Cain A. Knight: AJ Styles is a guy who WWE can always fall back on to main event a PLE or two in a world title match when the part-timers are away. A win over Paul puts him in good position to do that again this summer. Pick: AJ Styles

Marcus Benjamin: WWE is high on Logan Paul for reasons. Some obvious, some passing understanding. But I don’t like the idea of them picking Logan for reasons very obvious to me. Pick: AJ Styles

M. G0MEZ: Remember what I said earlier about John Cena making money as champ by revisiting old rivalries with the roles reversed? If Styles wins, that could hint at the outcome between the scared kid and the overrated star with a stack of dimes for a neck (WWE’s words; not mine). Pick: AJ Styles

That’s how we see the card playing out.
