No one does a diss track performance like Kendrick Lamar.
The rapper kicked off the Grand National Tour alongside SZA on Saturday, April 19, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The two would bounce back and forth as two had individual sets until they joined forces to perform three classics, ‘Doves in the Wind,’ ‘All the Stars’ and ‘LOVE.’ The concert went back to its format until the came together at the end of the show for ‘Luther.’
During one of Kendrick’s sets, the rapper took a moment and mocked Drake’s “drop drop” lyric from ‘Family Matters’ with a deposition cross examination skit before playing ‘Not Like Us.’
In a clip, Kendrick is seen in a pre-recorded scene as he is sitting down in a chair wearing all black. An “attorney” is heard saying: “Sunday, February 9th…,” in which Kendrick responds: “I don’t keep up with dates…” The attorney the says: “Ok, does this ring a bell? Drop. Drop. Drop. Drop…”

The screen then goes black with the song ‘Not Like Us’ starting with the infamous first liner, “Psst, I see dead people” and the crowd goes nuts. DJ Akademiks posted the clip on his Instagram account, which has since gone viral.
The feud between the two rappers first ignited in 2013 when Kendrick first started taking public jabs at Drake, and has since escalated to include multiple diss tracks. Throughout 2024, Kendrick and Drake released diss tracks including Not Like Us, Euphoria, Family Matters, Push Ups and more.
The Toronto-born star also took legal action against his own label, Universal Music Group (UMG), for circulating and endorsing Kendrick’s track, Not Like Us. In a newly updated defamation lawsuit filed on Wednesday, April 16, Drake contends that Kendrick’s performance at the Super Bowl, coupled with his Grammy victories for the same song, misled even more listeners into thinking Drake had engaged in pedophilia.
Drake’s team pointed out in the document that the Super Bowl Half Time show show marked the most-watched one ever, making Not Like Us known to “millions more who had never before heard the song or any of the songs that preceded it.”
