Trump marks Easter with blasts aimed at Biden and ‘Radical Left Lunatics’

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump began Easter with a traditional holiday greeting to more than nine million of his social media followers that concluded: “May this day be full of Peace and Joy for all who celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. HE IS RISEN!!”

But it wasn’t long, six minutes to be exact, before the president turned to another, familiar message: an attack on opponents of his immigration policies.

“Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country,” Trump wrote on April 20. “Happy Easter also to the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials who are allowing this sinister attack on our Nation to continue, an attack so violent that it will never be forgotten!”

Trump’s post then went on to criticize former President Joe Biden, saying he was “by far, our WORST and most Incompetent President,” as he assailed his predecessor’s immigration policies and revisited baseless allegations that there was widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

Trump has long used his holiday messages to needle critics, including calling them “haters and losers” before he won the White House in 2015 and through his first term. His Easter 2025 posts came as his administration has been sparring with the courts over a number of policies, including its moves on immigration and the mass firings of federal workers.

In various posts over Easter, Trump promised to make the country “more religious,” chided members of the business community who have been critical of his approach to tariffs, tried to entice Russia and Ukraine to enter into a peace agreement and detailed plans for a private Easter service at the White House on the morning of April 20.

Trump spent both several hours over both holiday weekend days at his Northern Virginia golf course. He also participated in a Easter prayer service and dinner with faith leaders at the White House on April 16.
