Gunmen Kill 26 at Popular Tourist Spot in India’s Kashmir

At least 26 people were killed in India’s northern Jammu and Kashmir region on Tuesday in firing by suspected separatist gunmen near a popular tourist destination, the Press Trust of India reported.

Two foreigners were among those killed in the attack, according to the PTI report citing a senior official. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack that came at a time when US Vice President JD Vance is on an official visit to India.
