After a tough loss on Sunday, the Detroit Tigers continue their homestand on Monday night by opening a three-game series against the San Diego Padres.
The Tigers have been playing solid baseball as of late, and are laying the foundation of a team that has its sights set on competing for a playoff spot once again. Following a rough end to the team’s latest road trip, Detroit came back with winning three straight against an American League Central rival, the Kansas City Royals, before falling to the Royals in extra innings in the finale of their four-game weekend series on Sunday.

The Padres are another team that is off to a good start in 2025. Their in the middle of a six-game road trip which saw them drop two of the three from the Houston Astros over the weekend. Yet, San Diego arrives in Motown with wins in seven of its last 10 games.
