Oblivion Remastered Steam Deck

For those looking to take Oblivion on the go, Noah Kupetsky over at steamdeckhq.com has given official thoughts on whether the Deck can handle the remaster.

Kupetsky states that while the game “runs and looks great,” unfortunately, the open world is less than ideal. “We can lower settings more for better performance, but the visuals will be taking a big hit, and that’s not something I would recommend doing.”

As far as whether the Oblivion remaster is worth playing on the Steam Deck, Kupetsky writes that “if you’re willing to deal with the model pop-ins and slight stuttering in the open world, I would say it is. It’s not going to be the best experience, and the amazing visuals shown in the stream will not be as noticeable on the Deck, but it’s playable.”
