Cuban-American actor William Levy was arrested Monday night in Weston on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing, according to Broward County jail records.

Levy, 44, was taken into custody by the Broward Sheriff’s Office after deputies responded to a disturbance at Baires Grill, located in the 2200 block of Weston Road, shortly after 10 p.m.

According to the arrest report, Levy was “highly intoxicated and causing a disturbance inside the restaurant.”

“I had a few drinks obviously, but I was not intoxicated,” Levy said, speaking with reporters.

Levy was issued a trespass warning by the restaurant’s manager in the presence of deputies and ordered multiple times to leave the premises. When he refused to comply, he was arrested for trespassing after warning and disorderly intoxication.

“They can see it in their cameras,” Levy said. “There was an argument. I get in the middle to try to prevent the situation from

escalating, and I’m the one who ended up in handcuffs.”   

Levy was transported to the Broward Main Jail and booked. During a Tuesday hearing, bond was set at $250 for each charge. 

Levy bonded out of jail Tuesday evening.  

Born in Havana, Cuba, Levy is known for his roles in telenovelas and his more recent appearances in English-language television and film, including Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016), Addicted (2014) and Montecristo (2023), according to the IMDB.com.
