FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WDCW) — Police said they were on the scene of a barricade incident at CIA headquarters in McLean, Virginia, after an armed man was seen near it on Wednesday.
In a statement sent to Nexstar’s WDCW, a CIA spokesperson wrote, “There is an ongoing incident that law enforcement is currently responding to outside CIA Headquarters. Additional details will be made available as appropriate.”
WDCW crews at the scene noted at least two dozen marked and unmarked police vehicles, helping to build a wide perimeter of at least a block long in both directions.
The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said its Special Operations Division was on the scene in the morning and remained there into the afternoon.
No additional information was immediately available.
