The long-awaited reunion between two of the NYPD’s toughest crime-fighters is almost here — but there’s some cause for alarm.
Mariska Hargitay will make a guest star appearance as Olivia Benson on Law & Order: Organized Crime, and new images and a teaser trailer paint a harrowing picture.
While Benson will back in the same room as her former partner, Det. Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), the reunion is anything but ideal.
The gripping trailer shows Sgt. Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) telling Stabler she needs him to go undercover. Viewers see multiple people aiming guns, including Stabler, and then the detective in the driver’s seat of a vehicle as a truck crashes into it, flipping his car over.
Stabler is then seen battered and bruised while being rolled on a gurney as medics shine a light into his face, looking for signs of life.
And that’s all before Benson even makes an appearance. Read on to find out more about the reunion and how to watch it.
As Stabler lies in a hospital bed, seemingly unconscious after his vehicle was rammed into by a truck, he gets a very special bedside visitor. In the trailer, Benson is seen standing over the detective, who has tubes in his nose and bruises on his forehead, calling “Elliot.” A photo from the episode shows Benson tenderly holding Stabler’s hand.
It’s the first time Benson and Stabler have appeared onscreen together since a 2023 finale crossover event involving Season 24 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Season 3 of Organized Crime in which Benson was shot. Fans were first introduced to the pair when they were detective partners on SVU, before Meloni left that show and later landed the Organized Crime spinoff.
