Korir, who also won the Chicago Marathon last fall, won despite falling at the start of the race. For the women, Kenya’s Sharon Lokedi set a new course record, finishing with a time of 2:17:22. Defending champion Hellen Obiri finished second, with a time of 2:17:41.In the men’s wheelchair division, Switzerland’s Marcel Hug continued his domination of the race, winning his third straight Boston Marathon and eighth overall in a time of 1:21:34. In the women’s wheelchair race, American Susannah Scaroni won in a time of 1:35:20.
