RADIO host Jess Hilarious has blasted her Breakfast Club co-hosts for staying silent in response to cruel comments about her maternity leave and talent.

The comedian and co-host, 33, called out Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy for not sticking up for her when she faced online backlash comparing her to co-host Loren LoRosa.

Jess recently took maternity leave from The Breakfast Club, a popular radio show, which is based in New York City.

While Jess was gone, comedian and podcaster Corey Holcomb made disparaging comments about her and claimed she wasn’t talented in a recent show.

He also poured out praise for LoRosa, who stepped in for Jess while she was on maternity leave.

Jess was left furious by the rude remarks and shared her anger with her co-workers for not speaking out on Holcomb’s snark.

“Not one person comes to my defense at all, ever,” a visibly upset Jess said on Instagram Live on Tuesday.

“We’re supposed to be a team, but nobody defends me. I feel played.”

She went on to say The Breakfast Club operates “like a high school.”

Jess joined The Breakfast Club in January 2024, replacing popular host Angela Yee, who left the show in 2022.

The comedian also had words about Yee in her online rant as she praised her predecessor for getting out of the seemingly toxic environment.

“There’s a reason that lady wanted to leave that show,” she said.

Yee left the show to launch her own nationally syndicated radio show, Way Up.

Jess said she wasn’t sure how Yee stayed on the show for 13 years.

On Wednesday morning, Jess went on The Breakfast Club to confront Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy about her issues with the show.

“Ever since I came back, it was weird,” Jess said.

Not one person comes to my defense at all, ever. We’re supposed to be a team, but nobody defends me. I feel played.”

She admitted that she wasn’t a fan of LoRosa, despite initially picking her as her replacement.

The comedian said she was surprised when LoRosa stayed on the show after Jess returned from maternity leave.

The co-hosts spoke about how LoRosa has more of a reporter’s approach on the radio show, while Jess takes more of a comedian’s voice.

Charlamagne told Jess to “stop listening to the internet.”

“Don’t let them trick you out of your position,” he said.

“You can’t let the internet win.”

DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God told her she should’ve brought her problems to the team rather than going on social media.

Breakfast Club listeners quickly came to Jess’ side on social media after her rant.

“Throw the entire Breakfast Club away,” one wrote on X.

“Jess Hilarious is solid. She has every right to clear the air and point out where all parties involved went wrong,” another weighed in.

“Ever since Angela Yee parted ways with DJ Envy and Charlamagne tha God, the quality of the show declined…until Jess Hilarious joined.”

A third wrote, “I get both sides. Who wants to come back from maternity leave to this? But also, it should’ve been handled internally 1000%.”

Despite online speculation, Jess is staying on the show.

The Breakfast Club airs live on weekdays from 6 to 10 am ET.
