Brighton vs Nottingham Forest LIVE!
The FA Cup quarter-final action continues this afternoon with an intriguing all-Premier League showdown on the south coast. Brighton will be out for revenge against high-flying Nottingham Forest, who thrashed them 7-0 in a remarkably one-sided clash at the City Ground only last month. Chris Wood netted a hat-trick that day, but is absent here after sustaining a hip injury while away on international duty with New Zealand.
Forest will hope to defy the absence of their influential top scorer and continue a fairytale season under Nuno Espirito Santo by sealing a place in next month’s Wembley semi-finals for the first time since 1991 with a fourth straight victory across all competitions. But they surely won’t find things quite as easy this time as Brighton seek a third trip to the last four in the last six years.
Fabian Hurzeler should have all of captain Lewis Dunk, Matt O’Riley and Solly March back from injury at the Amex Stadium, while Joao Pedro and Kaoru Mitoma are expected to start for the Seagulls after knocks. Follow Brighton vs Nottingham Forest live below!
76 mins: A bad one for Gibbs-White too, who clashes into the goal post while trying to reach Elanga’s driven cross.
75 mins: A nasty one for Rutter, who comes off with a painful looking ankle injury.
68 mins: That’s certainly raised the tempo even more!
64 mins: Oh, hold on a minute.
The referee has been sent to the monitor…
63 mins: PENALTY TO FOREST!
Mitoma brings Anderson down!
60 mins: Elanga and Hudson-Odoi on for Forest as they look to force the opening.
54 mins: Certainly a higher tempo to the second-half but, again, neither side yet to really look like scoring.
46 mins: Rutter does well to get around Williams and shoot from a tight angle but it goes just over the crossbar.
