BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (FOX 9) – An executive for U.S. Bank is believed to be the only person on board the plane that crashed into a Brooklyn Park home on Saturday.

A representative with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said that preliminary information shows one person was on the plane.
U.S. Bank shared a statement saying they believe Vice Chair and Chief Administration Officer Terry Dolan died in the crash.
The full statement says, “We are aware of reports that the plane that crashed in Brooklyn Park was registered to Terry Dolan, our vice chair and chief administration officer. At this time, we are unable to confirm whether he was on board, but we believe he was. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and friends, and anyone who may have been affected by yesterday’s tragic incident. We are grateful that there were not any injuries to residents of the home that was impacted by the crash, and we thank all the first responders who have provided service.”
Who is Terry Dolan?
Local perspective:
According to his bio on U.S. Bank’s website, Dolan was named chief administration officer of U.S. Bancorp in 2023. In that role, he was in charge of corporate strategy.
He had previously served as chief financial officer as well as vice chair of Wealth Management and Investment Services, executive vice president and controller.
“He has been a leader in the bank’s focus on driving growth and digital transformation, and reinforcing its strong financial position, with returns on assets and equity among the highest in the industry,” the biography reads. “He has also been a leader in its community development work and investments in affordable housing, economic development and renewable energy tax credit financing.”
Dolan has served with a number of charitable organizations along with his professional work, including Catholic Charities, the Minnesota Opera, Artspace, The Minneapolis Foundation.
Plane crashes into Brooklyn Park home
Local perspective:
Firefighters said there was only one person inside the home when it was struck. That person was able to escape the home safely.
The home is considered a total loss. Other homes in the area sustained minor damage.
The NTSB is expected to release more information in 10 to 14 days.

A plane crashed near the intersection of 109th Avenue North and Noble Parkway in Brooklyn Park around 12:20 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
FAA officials say the plane, a SOCATA TBM7, which is a single-engine business aircraft, departed from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa and was bound for Anoka County-Blaine Airport in Minneapolis.
