STORRS, Conn. (WTNH) — Paige Bueckers scored a game-high 34 points in what is likely her final game at Gampel Pavilion as second-seeded UConn defeated No. 10 South Dakota State, 91-57, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday night.
Azzi Fudd netted 17 points and Sarah Strong chipped in 15 for the Huskies, who went on a 25-3 run over the final 7:27 of the third quarter to put the game away.
Paige Meyer led the Jackrabbits with 16 points.
UConn will play No. 3 Oklahoma in the Sweet 16 in Regional 4 in Spokane at a day and time to be determined.
