They’ve now snapped up the last seven Grand Slam titles, with Sinner’s latest triumph coming at Wimbledon where he toppled Alcaraz to lift the trophy for the first time. Sure, this one’s got to sting for Carlos, but in true champion fashion, he kept it classy. He had nothing but praise for Sinner and promised he’ll be back stronger than ever.

After the match, Alcaraz addressed the media and shared his thoughts on what transpired. “It’s always a bad feeling losing matches. I think it’s a little bit worse when you lose in a final. But overall I’m just really proud of everything I’ve done the last 4 weeks on grass here in London.”

What made this match even more fascinating was the mental side of it all. Just a little over a month ago, Sinner was heartbreakingly close to winning the French Open just three match points away but watched it slip through his fingers.

In his post-match interview, he admitted it was really tough to bounce back from that emotionally. But he said he was proud to pick himself up, push through it and come out on top at Wimbledon.

He said he’s got to congratulate Sinner again and that he’s genuinely happy they’ve built such a solid friendship off the court and an intense rivalry on it that pushes him to get better every single day. Class act all around from two bright shining stars of tennis.
