If you happened to tune into American Idol last night, you’re probably still picking your jaw up off the floor after Carrie Underwood‘s amazing performance of the beloved song, “How Great Thou Art.”
It’s only fitting that she chose such a time-honored tune to sing on Easter Sunday, especially given how strong her faith is. Many people, including Elvis Presley, have sung the famous song over the years, but Underwood’s rendition just might go down in history as one of the best.
The incredible performance left many people with chills.
Man. Just when you think she can’t possibly get any more talented, she goes and belts out something so exquisite, it’s hard to put into words.
So many people were blown away and were quick to comment on this photo she shared from the occasion. As one person so perfectly noted: “Just an amazing performance! You are on a whole different level and no one will ever compare – that song was meant for you to sing! Praise the Lord! He is risen!”
Another of Underwood’s followers was left “speechless,” saying, “Speechless at this performance. Absolutely amazing!! Jesus was up there with you tonight. This entire episode was amazing! American idol bringing Jesus back. I’m here for all of it.”
One more person who loved the song added, “🙌 I can’t even express how perfect this was! So Beautiful. Glory to God! Christ is King! Thank you.”
And others were reduced to tears: “Crying on the couch! Killed it 🫶🏽😘”
Underwood never ceases to amaze her fans, and she certainly gave them a gift with this gem-of-a-song last night. Thank you, Carrie!
