Celtics-Magic recap: Brown leads Tatum-less C’s in Game 2 win

BOSTON — The Boston Celtics defeated the Orlando Magic in a physical Game 2 at TD Garden, 109-100.

With Jayson Tatum (wrist) sidelined, Jaylen Brown played the starring role with a game-high 36 points and 10 rebounds. Kristaps Porzingis also played a crucial role in the Celtics’ win with 20 points and 10 boards.

Porzingis also tallied five stitches in the victory. The C’s big man was bloodied after taking Goga Bitadze’s elbow to the face. He returned to the game shortly thereafter to thunderous applause from the Garden crowd.

Boston will take a 2-0 series lead to Orlando with Game 3 scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
