After their loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night, the Boston Celtics saw their five-game winning streak come to an end. However, they will have a chance to get back on track on Friday against one of their biggest rivals, the Miami Heat.
So far, the Celtics and Heat have met up twice this season, with Boston taking both games. However, this is the first time the Celtics will face the Heat after last month’s Jimmy Butler trade.
Ahead of the game, the Celtics made an announcement regarding their two star players, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, that will have an impact on Friday night’s game.

Before their game against the Heat, the Celtics listed Tatum and Brown as questionable to play due to knee injuries. Since then, the team has announced that Tatum is available to play, but Brown has been ruled out.
In the loss to the Thunder, Tatum recorded 33 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists. Additionally, he shot 12-for-23 from the field. While Tatum had a great performance, Brown left a lot to be desired on the court, recording 10 points on 5-for-15 shooting, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block.
With the playoffs approaching, it is essential that Tatum and Brown are as healthy as they can be. They each played an important role in Boston’s championship win last season, and they must be available for the team to have a chance to repeat as champions. If the Celtics can accomplish this feat, they will become the first team since the 2017-18 Golden State Warriors to do so.
