NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Chipotle is bringing back its popular digital game, called Burrito Vault, to give away up to 157,500 buy-one-get-one free entrée codes.
The giveaway, which comes in celebration of National Burrito Day, also includes the chance to win free burritos for a year.
Chipotle Burrito Vault: How it works
What we know:
Chipotle Rewards members can play the Burrito Vault game at UnlockBurritoDay.com. Players have to guess the exact entrée order combination, ingredient by ingredient, to unlock the “bank.” Prizes are given to the first 2,500 players who successfully guess the Burrito Vault code – which changes each hour.
Specifically, players have four attempts each hour and can win one BOGO code during the duration of the giveaway.
Dig deeper:
New to the game this year, Chipotle said the first player to unlock the Burrito Vault each hour will win free burritos for a year. Fans who unlock the vault after all the BOGO codes have been redeemed will also receive 25 rewards points in their Chipotle account one time during the giveaway.
Chipotle said its Burrito Vault game was played more than 2 million times in 2024 and prizes were claimed in under 20 minutes.
Timeline:
The Burrito Vault game began on Monday and will remain through Wednesday, April 2, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
What they’re saying:
“Last year, our Burrito Vault drove unprecedented fan engagement that resulted in our highest digital transaction day of all time,” Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s chief band officer, said in a statement. “Now, we are giving them another chance to crack the code and score more free burritos.”
