Chipotle has games and prizes in store for National Burrito Day.
The fast-casual chain is reviving its popular Burrito Vault digital game and giving customers a chance to win free food as the holiday approaches.
For the second year in a row, Chipotle fans can visit UnlockBurritoDay.com and try their hand at the game. This year, Chipotle has bigger and better prizes, amounting to more than $1 million in free burritos.
Here’s everything you need to know about the limited-edition game.
Who can play the Burrito Vault game?
Chipotle rewards members based in the U.S. and Canada are eligible to play the game. To play, you must be a legal resident and at least 13 years old.
When can you play the Burrito Vault game?
Chipotle opened up the Burrito Vault game on March 31 at 9 a.m. ET. It will remain available through Wednesday, April 2 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
How does the Burrito Vault work?
Chipotle rewards members can visit UnlockBurritoDay.com and enter their email address to begin.
During the game period, Chipotle will give away 2,500 buy-one, get-one-free codes (redeemable on April 3) per hour to rewards members who “unlock” the Burrito Vault. To do so, they have four chances each hour to guess the correct Chipotle order. At the end of each hour, the code to the Burrito Vault changes.
In total, Chipotle plans to give away up to 157,500 buy-one, get-one-free entrée codes.
Chipotle is switching the game up a bit this year and offering the first player to unlock the Burrito Vault each hour a sweet prize: free burritos for a year (52 rewards credits for regular entrées).
If you’re too late and you unlock the vault after all the BOGO codes have been given away, you’ll still score 25 rewards points one time during the campaign while available.
During the game period, rewards members are limited to one BOGO code and one reward points prize.
Chipotle also has a National Burrito Day offer
In addition to the Burrito Vault game, Chipotle is also offering rewards members free delivery on April 3 when they place an online or app order and use the code DELIVER.
