Confirmed: Social Security is making a payment of up to $1,450 to these beneficiaries today

Getting a payment of $1,450 from the United States Social Security today is entirely possible, although to do so you need to be eligible for this benefit. In addition, this payment can be for a much smaller amount, but it can also have a maximum payment of this type. Each of the SSI payments is totally different and if you are eligible for the payment, the Administration will send you the monthly check today.

Social Security SSI payments always arrive on the 1st of each month, although sometimes there are exceptions, something that will not happen in the month of April 2025. Therefore, if you have an accepted SSI payment, you could get up to $1,450 today. The payment of this benefit depends directly on our income, so if we have a low income we could receive a high check.

Who has the new Social Security today?

In order to be eligible to receive the extra Social Security today, we only need to meet one specific requirement: to have the SSI benefit accepted. Only in that case will we get the SSA payment on April 1st, but there are certainly other checks that will arrive later this month.

Remember that in order to receive the SSI payment monthly, we must meet two requirements:

  • Be 65 years of age or older or have a disability.
  • Have low economic resources and low monthly income.

With both requirements met, we can receive up to $1,450 each month. The maximum payment for an individual is $967, but if that individual has an eligible spouse, the check is a maximum of $1,450.

Remember that the benefit can arrive on the same day it is sent if we have activated Direct Deposit as the collection method. Otherwise, the payment can take up to 3 days to reach the beneficiaries’ checking account.

After this payment, we will have to wait until at least April 3rd to get a new retirement payment. Similarly, Social Security will also send checks on April 9th, 16th and 23rd to the different groups of retirees. This SSI payment is compatible with those monthly retirement checks.
