Remember when former Bravo crossover couple Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo seemed to be leading a master class in the amicable breakup? That’s all in the past now. In the months following their split, the once-friendly exes have engaged in an increasingly bitter back-and-forth, mostly via Bravo’s menagerie of reality series and after-shows. Despite Conover’s repeated claims that he’s just trying to move on, the Pillow King had a lot to say about DeSorbo during Thursday night’s Southern Charm reunion. And then, in a follow-up appearance on Watch What Happens Live, he told Andy Cohen that he’s been “seeing someone.”
“To me, the person that she’s kind of been since the breakup isn’t the person that I remember dating,” Craig said of Paige’s recent social-media activity during Thursday’s reunion. “She’s fighting with people in the comments. She’s starting to say mean stuff about me based on what the internet is saying. I’m just like, ‘I didn’t do anything to you.’”
During WWHL later that evening, Cohen asked Conover if he had started dating again. “I’m very happy,” the 36-year-old responded. “When I date, I tend to date only one person at a time. I’ve been seeing someone. I’ve been reminded that the universe works in crazy ways and everything happens for a reason.”
How convenient that Conover was ready to soft-launch a new girlfriend immediately after spending most of a reunion episode undermining his ex-girlfriend. Hopefully the end of Southern Charm’s tenth season means DeSorbo will now get her chance at owning the promotional circuit, while Conover can go back to studying conspiracy theories.
