Police in Australia said there were “no reported injuries” after a “minor” car crash involving Prince Andrew’s accuser Virginia Giuffre, despite her saying she had just “days to live” after the accident.
The 41-year-old, who previously alleged the Duke of York sexually assaulted her when she was a teenager, shared a photograph of herself lying in a hospital bed covered in bruises to her Instagram account on Monday.
She said a school bus had driven into her car at 110km (68mph), but didn’t say when or where the crash had happened.
“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live,” she wrote.
She added that she was “ready to go” but wanted to see her children one last time.

Ms Giuffre’s spokesperson Dini von Mueffling told CNN, ITV News’ US partner: “Virginia has been in a serious accident and is receiving medical care in the hospital. She greatly appreciates the support and well wishes people are sending.”
However, Western Australia Police appeared to push back on the extent of her injuries.
The force referred CNN to a report of a “minor” collision between a car and a bus near Perth on March 24.
It said: “The car sustained approximately $2,000 (£968) worth of damage. There were no reported injuries as a result of the crash.”
A source with knowledge of the situation told CNN Tuesday that Ms Giuffre is at a hospital in Perth, but is not in a life-threatening condition.
CNN has reached out to Ms Giuffre’s spokesperson for further comment.

In 2022, Ms Giuffre reached an out-of-court settlement with the Duke of York over a civil sexual abuse claim filed in the US.
She accused Prince Andrew of allegedly sexually assaulting her when she was 17 years old.
Ms Guiffre had claimed the abuse took place while she was travelling with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted financier and Andrew’s former friend.
The duke has strenuously denied these allegations and previously attempted to get the lawsuit dropped.
