Butler fell hard and ended up with a pelvic contusion, which meant he couldn’t continue playing. Before he left, he had put up three points and two rebounds in less than eight minutes. The Rockets made the most of his absence, pulling ahead by 14 points by the time halftime rolled around.

Things got heated in the second quarter when Green got into a shoving match with Rockets forward Tari Eason during a jump ball. The Houston crowd couldn’t hold back anymore and started chanting angrily at Green, letting out all the frustration from past playoff clashes.

Although there were some tense moments, the NBA decided to revoke a technical foul that was originally called on Green during the game, leaving his postseason count at three. This was important since reaching seven technical fouls in the playoffs leads to a one-game suspension automatically.
