Florence Pugh Rocks Stomach-Baring “Naked” Dress at Latest Premiere

The cast of Marvel’s upcoming movie, Thunderbolts*, made their way across the pond for the London premiere on April 22. Florence Pugh, along with her co-stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, David Harbour, Wendell Pierce, Geraldine Viswanathan, Hannah John-Kamen, and Wyatt Russell, attended the European screening.

Pugh stood out amongst her castmates donning a daring Elie Saab FW24 couture gown that made onlookers do a double-take. The striking number was a black, sheer floor-length naked dress with cutouts around the stomach, floral lace accents, and a billowing train.

Before hitting the red carpet, Pugh uploaded a post to her Instagram story sharing the chaos of premiere day.

On top of a photo of herself, she wrote: “Racing around town as fast as my clackers can go, hair is constantly flapping in my face, consumed too much coffee my heart might just actually start rolling like a pin ball, Billie is grumpy with me, my socks don’t match my outfit, and of course there’s a spot on my lip.”

Being a movie star sounds stressful, but in an interview leading up to the release of the Thunderbolts*—Marvel’s latest film about a group of anti-heroes—Pugh shared that she was able to convince the head of Marvel to let her base jump off the second-tallest building in the world for the movie.

“It was in the script, and then slowly as we got closer and closer to shooting, they were like, ‘Yeah, we don’t think it’s gonna happen, it’s just gonna be a crazy insurance ordeal, and obviously we’re not going to throw FP off the second-tallest building in the world,’” she said during the interview. “I was like, ‘What the f–k, of course we are. We have to do that!”

Pugh said that she emailed Kevin Feige and was a “sassy Karen” and told him that it was “going to do wonders for the press tour.” It seems like her convincing worked!
