No team has more clean sheets (13) and Neco Williams at £4.4m is a great option for those looking for a fourth defender that can be benched for trickier games.
9. Anthony Gordon could be worth a punt ahead of Newcastle’s double in GW32 and Morgan Rogers continues to look like the best budget midfielder in the game. He ranks 10th amongst midfielders for overall points.

17. Ricky from London: Hi Gianni, after some advice please. I have three chips remaining – a Wildcard, Free Hit and Triple Captain. What would be the best strategy to use, particularly with eyes on gameweek 32 to 34? Thank you so much.
18. Gianni: Well played on holding three chips for the run-in. Double gameweeks of 32 and 33 and likely 36 will give you some great opportunities to use the Triple Captain chip.
19. Alexander Isak in GW32 (home to Manchester United and Crystal Palace) is probably my favourite route but Gameweek 36 will likely give plenty of options too. Omar Marmoush could double against Southampton and Bournemouth if Manchester City win their FA Cup semi-final.
20. Depending on how your squad is set, if it isn’t looking particularly strong, I would be tempted to use the Wildcard in the next week or so knowing you have your Free Hit in hand to manage blank gameweek 34 which sees likely blank gameweeks for Crystal Palace, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Arsenal.
21. You can then stock up on good players from these teams who all have double gameweeks on the horizon on Wildcard. If, however, your current squad is in good health, saving the Wildcard is an option. You could then Free Hit in either a double gameweek or in the blank of 34.

41. Gianni: Eddie Howe has said that his squad certainly has “a few niggles.” We know Isak was substituted around the hour with a slight groin strain but he has five days to recover as Newcastle’s fixture away to Leicester is the final one of the gameweek.
42. With the fifth Champions league spot up for grabs, I expect Isak to start and if he doesn’t, the risk of a 10-minute cameo is pretty slim which is why he will likely be my captain. Just perhaps give your vice-captain a little more thought this week if you’re going down the same route as me.

79. Gianni: Gabriel is the most selected defender in the game but with him out injured, many FPL players will now move to Manchester City’s Josko Gvardiol, who is the second highest owned. The Croatian has three clean sheets in his last six games as City finally start to look more solid at the back.
80. Likewise, William Saliba is a safe option knowing Arsenal have conceded the fewest goals this season, although without Gabriel and some other notable absentees, you expect their defence to be weaker.
81. Crystal Palace’s Daniel Munoz, however, is my stand out pick. I sold Gabriel for Munoz in Gameweek 20 and have been hugely rewarded. Palace benefit from doubles in Gameweeks 32 and 33 and Munoz is arguably their best FPL asset.
82. He has three goals and five assists and is often the attacking outlet down the right for Palace. He also ranks second for attempts in the box, big chances and XG amongst all defenders in the game this season.

6. Explaining the decision, the Premier League Match Centre said on X: “The referee’s call of yellow card for a reckless foul by Tarkowski was checked by the VAR, with contact on the follow through after Tarkowski had played the ball deemed to be reckless.”
7. The key word here is “reckless”, which according to the laws of the game merits a yellow card rather than a red.

29. As a Spurs fan I am used to losing at Stamford Bridge. Yesterday was expected, but after weeks off and all the players back we offered nothing. The performance is much worse than the result. No idea what the pattern of play is, no urgency on transition. Ange has had his time and it’s up.

35. Enzo Fernandez scored as Chelsea beat Tottenham to move into the Premier League’s top four and boost their hopes of Champions League football next season.
36. Defeat for Spurs piled more pressure on head coach Ange Postecoglou – whose side stay 14th, and remain on course to finish outside the top 10 for the first time since 2008.
37. Chelsea dominated and were rewarded in the 50th minute when Fernandez headed home Palmer’s inch-perfect delivery.
