Arlington, TX (May 20, 2025) – The Dallas Wings begin a four-game road swing at the Minnesota Lynx on Wednesday night in Minneapolis. Tipoff at Target Center is slated for 7 p.m. CT, with the game airing locally in Dallas-Forth Worth on KFAA29, and streaming out-of-market on WNBA League Pass. Wednesday’s tilt marks a homecoming for Wings rookie and Minnesota native Paige Bueckers.
The Wings (0-2) eye their first win of the season after falling to the Lynx in their opener on May 16 and the Seattle Storm last night, 79-71. Against the Storm, Dallas narrowed a 17-point deficit down to three with seven minutes to go but couldn’t complete the comeback. Bueckers finished with team highs of 19 points and eight assists, while Maddy Siegrist and NaLyssa Smith added 12 points apiece.
The Lynx (2-0) are coming off an 89-75 win at the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday. Dallas and Minnesota met just four days ago in last Friday’s season opener, which the Lynx won 99-84. Arike Ogunbowale had a team-high 16 points for the Wings, while Minnesota’s Napheesa Collier had a game-high 34 points.

2025 Wings-Lynx Schedule & Results
- Rookie homecoming … Wings rookie guard Paige Bueckers will play her first WNBA game in her home state of Minnesota on Wednesday night as Dallas visits the Minnesota Lynx. Bueckers was a three-time Gatorade Minnesota Player of the Year at Hopkins, playing five varsity seasons. She averaged 21.0 points, 9.2 assists, 5.2 steals and 5.1 rebounds per game as a senior, leading Hopkins to a 30-0 record and the Class AAAA state championship game, which was canceled due to coronavirus
- Race to 500 … After becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 4,000 career points (195 games), Arike Ogunbowale has another opportunity to impact the record book on Wednesday night at Minnesota. Should Ogunbowale make two three-pointers she’ll tie Diana Taurasi for fastest to 500 made triples at 198 games.
- Hopkins heritage … It’s only fitting that Buecker’s first career outing came against her hometown team, the Minnesota Lynx. The guard was born in Edina, Minnesota, and attended Hopkins high school in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The home opener was played on the first official “Paige Bueckers Day” in Hopkins, as the city announced in April that it would be renamed in honor of her debut.
- A welcomed addition … After helping Landes win the LFB championship in France, Dallas Wings center Luisa Geiselsöder reported to the Wings on Sunday. Geiselsöder had been temporarily suspended while finishing with Landes, with the WNBA officially designating her on Sunday as active. Geiselsöder is the 6-4 starting center for the German National Team which is coming off its first ever Olympic Games appearance. She was drafted by the Wings in 2020 but remained in Europe. She was signed by the Wings this past February.
- Return to Texas … Several of the new faces on the Wings roster have strong Texas ties. DiJonai Carrington and NaLyssa Smith both played collegiately at Baylor, while Smith is a San Antonio native. Tyasha Harris was drafted seventh overall by the Dallas Wings and spent her first three professional seasons with the team before making her return this offseason.
- New season, new faces … Dallas announced its official 2025 roster on May 15, consisting of just three returning players from the 2024 season (McCowan, Ogunbowale, Siegrist). The Wings’ new additions span from its draft class and free agency signings to the front office, where several key leadership additions mark a new era in franchise history.
- #WingsUp … The official hashtag for the 2025 season is #WingsUp, to celebrate the franchise’s 10th season in North Texas. The Wings have advanced to the WNBA Playoffs five of their first nine seasons in Dallas, including reaching the Semifinals in 2023.
- Wings expand distribution for Local Broadcasts … Two months after naming TEGNA station KFAA in Dallas-Fort Worth, its exclusive local broadcast partner, the Wings are expanding their broadcast reach through additional agreements with TEGNA, Gray Media, and Corridor Television. The agreement will triple the team’s local TV footprint, bringing free, over-the-air Wings games to 6.3 million households across 12 markets during the 2025 season. The agreements position the Wings as a league leader in geographic reach and among the best in number of households with access to local broadcasts
