Germany Star The Lone Bright Spot In Inter Milan 0-3 AC Milan Derby Disaster
Defender Yann Bisseck was the “lone bright spot” for Inter Milan in a bitter Coppa Italia defeat to AC Milan yesterday evening.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They hail the German for an imperious display in the back despite the result for Inter.

Defender Yann Bisseck got the start for Inter Milan against AC Milan yesterday evening.
Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi gave the 24-year-old the nod as he made a few changes for the Coppa Italia semifinal second leg.
Bisseck had come off the bench against Bologna over the weekend. And he had received criticism for his culpability in the Rossoblu’s late winner.
However, Bisseck stepped up and responded to the critics with his display yesterday.

Yann Bisseck had the tough task of marking AC Milan winger Rafael Leao.
But particularly in the first half yesterday, it was the German who came out on top.

Bisseck’s pace and anticipation meant that Leao was never able to find himself an inch of space in which to work.
And then in the one-on-one challenges, Bisseck won every single one to keep the Portuguese quiet.
Meanwhile, Bisseck also showed his initiative in attack.
The German international drove Inter up the pitch with his rampaging runs through midfield with the ball. And he came close with a couple long-distance shots.
The match as a whole may have been an unmitigated disaster for Inter.
