‘Happy Gilmore 2’ trailer: Adam Sandler returns to the golf course in long-awaited sequel

Adam Sandler returns to the golf course in the “Happy Gilmore 2” trailer, which debuted on Tuesday.

The sneak peek into the long-awaited sequel features much of the original cast, as well as some other famous new faces.

The hockey jersey and Timberlands return

In true Happy fashion, Sandler sports the all-too-familiar hockey jersey and Timberlands get-up that makes his character so recognizable.

Dig deeper:

Some of the cast from the first movie returned including Ben Stiller as the rude orderly Hal L., Happy’s love interest Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit and who can forget Christopher McDonald as Happy’s rhyming nemesis, Shooter McGavin.

At least two of the original cast members, however, were noticeably missing from the trailer.

Carl Weathers, who played Chubbs in the first film, passed away last year. And who can forget Happy’s celebrity brawl with Bob Barker? Barker also died last year at 99 years old.

New faces

The trailer kicked off with a bang and featured some of the world’s most talented golfers, including one of the legends, John Daly.

Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny is also seen playing a caddy and both of Sandler’s daughters will have roles in the film, which is standard in most of Sandler’s movies.

‘Happy Gilmore 2’ release date

The release date for the film was also revealed in the debut trailer.

Fans can see the sequel on July 25, 2025, only on Netflix.
