The madness is over for the Duke Blue Devils, as Houston knocked the men’s basketball team out of the Final Four late Saturday night.This matchup had students on the edge of their seats all night.But after a tight final finish, with seconds left in the game, Duke students left the watch party in the Cameron Indoor Stadium — devastated.Comfort Markwei said that moment was stark. “I’ve never felt so much sadness in a room,” she said, “I’m confused by how we lost that game, I’m proud of our team, I’m sure they are taking harder than we are.”Click the video player above to watch the latest headlines from WXII 12 News.Students like Zinny Anunobi feels heartbroken.”I just feel defeated. At one point we were up by 14 points,” she said.And Senior, Chris Navas said he’s felt this feeling before. “Three years ago I was in Cameron, same emotions that we lost, so it was a heart stab right there,” Navas said.But even though students say it stings, they also shared emotions of appreciation for the journey this season.
