Zach Edey stuffed the stat sheet on Tuesday night, but the Grizzlies lost to the Warriors.

Memphis will now have to play in a do-or-die play-in game on Friday night, and Edey will probably be key if the Grizzlies are going to win that game.

He had 14 points and 17 rebounds in Tuesday’s loss, continuing what’s been a really impressive stretch of games since Tuomas Iisalo took over as Grizzlies’ interim head coach. Edey has tallied double-digit rebounds in eight of 10 games since the coaching change.

There were still some rocky moments in Tuesday’s game. The Warriors went at him repeatedly on the defensive end of the floor, and Edey struggled at times to defend against the Warriors attack.

The Grizzlies will host either the Kings or Mavericks — who will play Wednesday — on Friday night at FedExForum. The winner of that game will advance to the playoffs to face the top-seeded Thunder.
