The Denver Nuggets (49-32) head into the final game of the regular season with full control over their fate. With a win Denver earns the four-seed and home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. However, with a loss the Western Conference playoff standings become even more chaotic. They take on the Houston Rockets (52-29) who locked up the two-seed in the playoffs despite losing their last two games. Interim head coach David Adelman has led Denver to back-to-back wins since taking over in a shocking move with just three games left in the regular season. With one more win Denver will enter the playoffs with home court advantage and an opportunity to win a second championship in three seasons.

This season Denver and Houston have split the first two games of the season series. Denver won the most recent game three weeks ago after building a 17 point lead entering the fourth quarter.
