A second instance of fan breaching the security has taken place in IPL 2025 as a fan came running to touch Riyan Parag’s feet as he was preparing to bowl against the Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday in Guwahati. In a video surfaced on social media, the fan touched the young cricketer’s feet before the security officials came in and dragged him away.

The IPL 2025 opener between the Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has already witnessed a security breach as a fan ran in and fell on Virat Kohli’s feet. The cops dealt with him quite strictly on that occasion, arresting him but the fan had revealed that he harbours no regret in doing that.

The Assam-born cricketer, who is yet again leading the Royals, came in at number three, much like he did against the SunRisers Hyderabad in their opening bout. He had smashed three sixes and tried to go for another off Varun Chakaravarthy’s bowling but miscued it as Quinton de Kock took a skier.

The inaugural IPL champions overall had finished with only 151/9 on the board as only five of their batters got to double figures. Dhruv Jurel had top-scored with 33. Chakarvarthy, Moeen Ali, Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora took two wickets each while Spencer Johnson chipped in with one.

At the time of writing this, the Knight Riders were in cruise control, with De Kock’s brisk half-century guiding them.
