Jeremy Boreing Steps Down As Co-CEO Of Daily Wire

Jeremy Boreing, co-founder of the Daily Wire, announced on March 18, 2025, that he is stepping down as co-CEO to refocus on creative projects within the company. In an email to staff reported by Axios, Boreing indicated his decision to turn his “full attention to creative and entertainment ventures for the company.” Following this transition, Caleb Robinson, who has shared the CEO role with Boreing since 2019, will assume the position of sole chief executive immediately.

The founders of Daily Wire, including Boreing, Ben Shapiro, and Robinson, turned the company from a modest news startup that launched in 2015 with just $4.7 million in seed funding into a media giant valued at over $1 billion last year. In his memo, Boreing expressed pride in their collective achievements, stating, “When Ben, Caleb, and I founded The Daily Wire in 2015, we set out to build an institution. We’re just getting started.” With Robinson now at the helm, Boreing will maintain an advisory position while continuing to host “Daily Wire Backstage,” a monthly show where he discusses pressing political and social topics with notable figures like Shapiro, Walsh, and Michael Knowles.

As Boreing shifts his focus, his primary project will be directing and producing the upcoming TV series “The Pendragon Cycle,” for which he also serves as writer and executive producer. Boreing’s experience in Hollywood—including significant writing and producing credits—will be invaluable as he leads this ambitious project. His work on “Pendragon” has been ongoing; in 2023, he took a leave of absence from his operational duties at Daily Wire to film the series in Hungary and Italy.

Boreing’s pivot towards creative leadership is poised to bolster Daily Wire’s expansion into entertainment, which he has championed over the past decade. His leadership was instrumental in launching Daily Wire+ in 2022, a subscription-based streaming service that has also seen recent successful endeavors in children’s programming with its brand, Bentkey. “The Pendragon Cycle” is among several significant projects Boreing is determined to see through, enhancing the company’s footprint in film and television. Boreing previously directed and co-wrote the feature film “Lady Ballers” and served as executive producer on hit comedy films “What Is a Woman?” and “Am I Racist?” showcasing his dual focus on production and audience engagement.

Daily Wire’s trajectory since its inception speaks volumes about Boreing’s impact. Under his tenure, the company shifted significantly from a conservative news platform to a formidable player in the digital entertainment landscape. “Jeremy’s hard work and brilliant leadership have been indispensable to the growth of this company from an idea to the largest conservative digital media company in the country,” Shapiro noted, acknowledging Boreing’s critical role in this transformational phase. Robinson added excitement about the upcoming evolution, stating, “We couldn’t be more excited for this next phase of The Daily Wire’s growth and for Jeremy as he pursues the completion of Pendragon… the best is yet to come.”

As Dail Wire continues to innovate and capitalize on the growing intersection of media and entertainment, Boreing’s commitment to developing original content and expanding the company’s footprint in the digital entertainment space is clear. The leadership team, now helmed solely by Robinson, looks ahead to 2025, where further investments are planned to continue the organization’s rapid expansion in both media reach and creative offerings.

Boreing articulated his sentiments about leaving daily management behind: “I will greatly miss the day in and day out of fighting the left and building the future with all of you, but I’m confident we will continue to thrive under Caleb’s ongoing leadership.” This strategic transition not only illustrates Boreing’s dedication to the creative aspects of the business but also signals the Daily Wire’s intent to remain at the forefront of media innovation in a shifting landscape, poised for continued growth and prominence.
