Watch: Josh Allen’s Sweet Shoutout to Hailee Steinfeld at NFL Honors Proves She’s His MVP
Josh Allen’s new deal is a total touchdown.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback just inked a new deal worth as much as $330 million, multiple outlets confirmed, with $250 million guaranteed—a record for the NFL.
Josh’s new deal keeps him with the Bills through 2030, the team confirmed in its announcement—which kept the deal’s figures under wraps—adding two years to his original contract.
The 28-year-old’s guaranteed figure surpasses the previous record set by Cleveland quarterback DeShaun Watson’s 2022 contract, according to Sportrac.com which guaranteed him $230 million across five years.
The quarterback with the record for a contract total remains Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, whose 10-year contract in signed in 2020 totals $450 million.
Josh’s jaw-dropping deal comes after he was awarded the AP NFL Most Valuable Player Award during the 2025 NFL Honors ceremony in February. There, the football player made sure to give a shoutout to his most valuable player: fiancée Hailee Steinfeld.
“Last but not least to my fiancée Hailee,” Josh said during the Feb. 7 ceremony as the camera cut to an emotional Hailee. “You’ve been my rock and my best friend. I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you.”
And Hailee, for her part, couldn’t be happier for her forever love.

As the Hawkeye star wrote in her February newsletter, “TO CELEBRATE: The freaking MVP!! Okay, this is a personal one, but I’m so damn proud of my fiancé!”
In the time since Hailee and Josh were first linked in May 2023, the couple have kept many of the details of their relationship in a private playbook. For Hailee, who has lived so much of her life in the spotlight, it comes down to keeping this one thing for herself.

“When you realize that so much is already out there in every other aspect of your life, you really learn to cherish the little that isn’t,” she explained to Who What Wear in an interview published Feb. 19. “It just makes things extra special, and it’s just for you.”
And while Josh, too, has kept the details of their love close to the chest, on popping the question to Hailee, he gushed in her newsletter, “It feels unbelievable to be engaged to someone who is so special and loving and caring and gorgeous and fun and happy.”

“Mr. Hard Launch,” as reporter Kay Adams called him on her Up & Adams show, bashfully admitted “we love love” when asked about his and Hailee’s relationship.

Hailee and Josh confirmed they were engaged in a November 29 Instagram post showing the athlete getting down on one knee as the Oscar nominee leaned in to give him a kiss. They captioned the post with the date of their major milestone: 11-22-24.

Just a few months after their engagement, Josh and Hailee officially made their red carpet debut at the NFL Honors, where he was named MVP. And during his acccepance speech, he gave her a heartfelt shoutout.
“You’ve been my rock and my best friend,” he told her. “I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you.”
